Common questions
What is the Simu Hz Mobile Transmitter 1 channel?
Part 2008805 is a compact white handheld remote from Simu, part of the Somfy family. It controls 1 motorized product or 1 group of products and comes with a magnetic wall holder.
What range does it have?
Somfy lists a range of 656.2 ft in open field on 433.420 MHz. Walls and floors shorten that distance inside a building, so test the signal from the spot where you plan to use it.
Which motors does it control?
It uses Simu Hz radio technology, and Somfy lists awnings and rolling shutters as its applications. The Simu DMI5Hz 50Nm 12rpm 120V motor (2004675) on this site carries Hz radio for this kind of control.
What battery does it take?
It runs on 1 CR2032 coin cell battery. Somfy rates the remote IP 30, so keep it indoors or in a covered spot out of the rain, and use the magnetic holder to park it on the wall.
Can it save a favorite position?
Yes. The stop button doubles as a favorite position, so one press sends the awning or shutter to a preset point between open and closed. Set that point once and recall it any time.
What if I need more channels?
The Simu Hz Mobile Transmitter, 5 channel, white (2008806) runs 5 products or groups. For larger homes, the Simu Hz Transmitter, 16 channel handheld, white (2007350) covers more zones. Somfy backs the 1 channel remote with a 5-year warranty.
