Somfy IR1 Single Channel Remote (1870133)

It is a one-channel infrared remote for Somfy motorized products fitted with an IR receiver. Point it at the shade and press UP to raise it, DOWN to lower it, or the center STOP button to halt it mid-travel.

The IR1 reaches about 7m (23 ft). Infrared needs a clear line of sight, so aim the remote at the shade's IR receiver and keep furniture and walls out of the path.

It runs Somfy products that have an IR receiver on the motor or shade. For RTS radio motors, choose an RTS remote such as the Situo 1 Channel RTS Pure Remote (1870571).

Somfy's IR 1 instructions tell you to point the remote at the shade or shades you want to operate, so one remote can run several IR shades in view. For separate control of up to eight shades, the IRT 803 8 Channel Transmitter (1870132) lets you pick a numbered channel first.

The IR1 carries an IP30 rating, which suits indoor rooms. Keep it away from water and use it in living spaces, offices and bedrooms where the shades it controls hang.

Somfy notes that a lost IR transmitter needs professional programming help. Contact Somfy technical support or an authorized dealer to set up a replacement IR1 with your shades.
