Maestria RTS tubular motor -- zip screen specialist with obstacle detection
The Maestria RTS motor is Somfy's motor built specifically for exterior vertical zip screens, retractable insect screens, and hurricane screens. It automatically adjusts to keep the screen fabric properly tensioned and detects obstacles going up or down to protect both the fabric and outdoor furniture.

What is the Maestria 525A2 RTS motor built for?
Somfy designed the Maestria RTS for exterior solar screens, zip screens and retractable insect screens. It keeps the fabric tensioned for a clean, wrinkle-free look and seals the screen at its lower limit to keep insects out.
What torque and speed does it deliver?
Somfy rates part 1134083 at 25 Nm of torque and 20 rpm. It is a 50 mm tubular motor with a star head and electronic limits, backed by Somfy's 5-year warranty.
How does obstacle detection protect my screen?
The motor senses a blockage on the way up or down and stops. That protects the screen fabric and any patio furniture in its path, and the motor adjusts itself to keep the fabric in tension over time.
What tube and hardware does it fit?
Somfy lists a minimum tube inside diameter of 1.85 in. Matching hardware in our store includes the Octagonal LT50 60MM and 70mm Crown/Drive Sets (9012233, 9012234), the LT50 DS78MM Crown/Drive Set (9012239) and the LT50 Star Head Motor Bracket (9410651).
How is it powered?
It runs on 120V AC, rated from 108 V to 132 V, and ships with a 9.84 ft, 3-wire SJTW cable. The built-in RTS receiver handles control, so the screen needs only a power feed.
Which controls work with it, and can I use my phone?
Any Somfy RTS transmitter works, such as the Telis 1 and Telis 4 RTS Patio remotes (1810643, 1810645) or the Situo 5 RTS Pure (1870575). The motor stores up to 12 transmitters, with an open-field range of 656.2 ft. Add a TaHoma Switch (1871037) for app control.
