Common questions
What torque and speed does the Simu T6 2000987 deliver?
The Simu T6 2000987 produces 100 Nm of torque at 14 rpm on 120V/60Hz power. It draws 3.8 A and 430 W while running. That output suits large awnings and rolling shutters where smaller T5 motors run out of torque.
How are the limits set on the 2000987?
The 2000987 uses mechanical limit switches with a 23-turn capacity. Once set, the motor cuts power at the same up and down points on every cycle. No remote or programming tool is required, which keeps service simple on wired awning and shutter jobs.
How do I wire the Simu T6 2000987?
The 2000987 ships with an 8.2 ft white VVF cable with four stripped wires. Connect it to a 120V up/down switch, key switch or relay rated for 4-wire motors. Somfy lists a 4-wire motor tester cable (9012116) for checking direction and limits during setup.
Which bracket and drives fit the 2000987?
Somfy lists the T6 operator bracket 100mm x 100mm square (9530018) for the 2000987 round head with pins. On the tube end, Somfy lists T5/T6 drives such as the 60mm round aluminum drive (9012950) and the 70mm octagonal aluminum drive (9011878).
Does the 2000987 have a warranty and outdoor rating?
Yes. Somfy backs the Simu T6 2000987 with a 5-year warranty. The motor carries an IP 44 protection rating, Class I insulation and an operating range of -4°F to 140°F, so it handles exterior awning and shutter installs.
