What does the Universal RTS Receiver do?
Part 1810627 adds Somfy RTS radio control to a standard 110V AC wired motor. Once you wire it in, the motor answers to RTS remotes, wall switches and sensors, and the existing motor stays in place.
Which remotes and wall switches pair with it?

Can it run an awning on sun and wind?

It runs on 120V/60Hz, with a Somfy input range of 108 V to 132 V. Somfy rates the output contact at 115V AC 0.5A max, so compare that rating with the motor's rated current before you wire it.
Can I control it from my phone?
Yes, through a Somfy TaHoma hub such as the TaHoma Switch (1871037). RTS is one-way radio, so the app sends commands but does not report the shade's position.
