It controls 24V DC LED lighting from Somfy RTS transmitters, the same ones that run pergolas, awnings, screens and shades. Part 1870872 gives one remote command over both lights and window coverings.
How many lighting zones does it support?
It provides 4 separate dimmable outputs at 100W each, for up to 400W of LED lighting per receiver. Or run it as one RGB full-color zone plus one single-color zone.
Which remotes control the lights?
Any standard Somfy RTS transmitter controls light level and color. The Situo Variation remote adds incremental control, and the Situo 5 Variation RTS Pure II Remote (1811612) fits that role. A favorite my setting stores a preferred level.
What lighting effects does RGB mode offer?
In RGB mode, the receiver supports mood lighting with dimming, flashing and color-shifting on one full-color zone. The fourth output stays available for a single-color zone of up to 100W.
Is it rated for outdoor use?
Yes. Somfy rates it at IP 65, and it has a built-in antenna plus an optional remote antenna for reliable radio reception on 433.420 MHz. Somfy lists it as compatible with Pergola Tilt 24V motors.
What power does it need?
It runs on a 24V DC supply, and Somfy lists 45W of consumption in operation with 0W on standby. Size the supply for the LED load you connect, up to 100W per output.
