Common questions
What does the LED 12V DC Hz Receiver do?
It adds radio control to 12V DC LED lighting on an awning, so the lights respond to a handheld transmitter. Somfy builds it on Hz radio technology at 433.420 MHz.
What power does it need?
Somfy rates the receiver for a 12V DC input, which matches a 12V DC LED circuit. Power options listed with it in this store include the Somfy 12V DC Plug-in Power Supply (1870940).
Can it be installed outdoors?
Yes. Somfy rates the receiver IP55 and lists it for awning applications. That rating lets it sit with the lighting on an exterior awning installation.
Which transmitters control it?
It uses Hz radio, so pair it with an Hz transmitter such as the Hz Transmitter 4 Channel Key Chain (2008329) or the Simu Hz Mobile Transmitter 5 channel (2008806). Both send on 433.420 MHz.
Can I control it from an app?
Yes. Somfy lists the TaHoma Switch as a compatible control system for this receiver. The TaHoma Switch RTS and Zigbee Smart Hub (1871037) in this store brings the awning lights into the TaHoma app.
What warranty does it carry?
Somfy backs the LED 12V DC Hz Receiver, part 2008405, with a 5-year warranty. It is a genuine Somfy component for Hz awning lighting, installed by a professional.
