What is the Ysia 5 Variation Zigbee remote?
Part 1871281 is a five-channel Somfy Zigbee handheld remote with a scroll wheel. Each channel controls one Zigbee product or one group. It runs blinds, draperies, shades and Zigbee Smart Plugs, includes a wall bracket and carries a 5-year Somfy warranty.
Do I need a TaHoma switch to use it?
No. The Ysia pairs direct to programmed Somfy Zigbee motors with no hub. You can also add it to a system run by a Somfy TaHoma switch (1871037) when you want app and voice control too.
What does the scroll wheel do?
The scroll wheel gives precise control for tilting blinds and for layered Zigbee shades. Use it to set slats or vanes at an exact angle. The MY button saves a favorite position for quick access.
What batteries does it use, and what is the range?
It takes 2 LR3 (AAA) batteries at 1.5V each. Somfy rates the range at 164.05 ft in open field. The remote measures 5.31 in by 1.65 in by 0.51 in and is rated IP 20.
Which motors does it work with?
It controls Somfy Zigbee motors. Examples in this store include the Tilt 50 WireFree Through-Shaft Zigbee (1241783), the Glydea ULTRA 50 WireFree Zigbee (1246594) and the Sonesse 40 406A2 Zigbee 3.0 motor (1245921). It does not control RTS motors.
Can it control lights or other devices?
