What is the Sonesse 28 WireFree RTS Li-ion motor?
Part 1003297 is a roller shade motor with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. There is no wiring to run: charge it, mount it in the tube and pair it to an RTS control. Somfy designed the compact motor head for quiet operation.
What are its torque, speed and tube requirements?
Somfy rates it at 1.1 Nm of torque and 20 rpm, with a noise level of 49 dB. It runs on 12V DC, has a round head and fits tubes with a minimum inside diameter of 1.05 in.
How do I charge the battery?
The motor has a removable charging cable and an LED that warns of low battery. Somfy's Li-ion plug-in charger (9025166) charges it. The 8 in Extension Charging Cable (9021131) and the Magnetic Adapter (9028562) move the charging point to a spot you can reach.
Can I charge it with solar power?
Yes. Somfy lists the WireFree Li-ion Solar Panel Kit as compatible, and this site carries the Somfy 12V DC WireFree V2 Solar Pack (9027294). A solar panel tops up the battery and extends the time between charges.
Which remotes work with it?
