Common questions

What does the DecoFlex 5 Channel RTS wall switch (1810814) control?

It controls up to 5 individual Somfy RTS products or 5 groups, including shades, blinds, draperies, shutters and awnings. Each channel gives you Up, Down, Stop and the Somfy my favorite position.

Does it need wiring or an electrician?

No. The DecoFlex WireFree RTS switch runs on battery power and talks to your motors by radio, so it needs no wiring. Mount it beside an existing light switch as you enter a room, or place it anywhere on the wall.

What battery does it use?

It runs on an internal lithium coin cell, and the battery comes in the box. You can replace the cell when it runs down, and the switch stays in place on the wall.

What comes in the box?

The switch ships with a mounting bracket, a Decora-style trim plate and adhesive button labels. The labels let you mark each of the 5 buttons with the room or shade it runs.

Which motors and receivers does it work with?

It works with Somfy RTS motors and receivers, which run on 433.420 MHz radio. It also sits alongside Somfy RTS remotes, timers and the TaHoma Switch RTS and Zigbee Smart Hub (1871037), so every control in the home can run the same shades.

Is it offered in other colors or channel counts?

Yes. This listing is the ivory finish. The 5 channel switch also comes in white (1810813) and black (1810830), and a 1 channel ivory version (1810898) suits a single shade or group. Somfy backs DecoFlex with a 5-year warranty.
