Common questions

What does the DecoFlex WireFree RTS 5 Channel Black switch do?

Part 1810830 is a battery-powered wall switch that controls up to 5 Somfy RTS products or 5 groups. Each channel has Up, Down, Stop and the Somfy my favorite position, all in a black finish.

Does it need wiring or an electrician?

No. Somfy builds it battery powered and wireless, and a replaceable lithium coin cell comes included. Mount it beside a light switch or anywhere on the wall with the included bracket and Decora-style plate.

Which motors and products does it work with?

It pairs with any Somfy RTS motor or receiver on 433.420 MHz. Somfy lists it for awnings, exterior solar screens, interior blinds, draperies and shades, pergolas and rolling shutters.

Can it share a shade with my remote or smart hub?

Yes. An RTS motor stores more than one transmitter, so this switch can run the same shades as a Situo RTS remote such as the 1 channel (1870571) or a TaHoma Switch (1871037).

Does it come in other colors or as a tabletop control?

The same 5 channel switch comes in white (1810813) and ivory (1810814). The DecoFlex RTS Table Top Accessory, Black (1811051) turns it into a desk or nightstand control, and DecoFlex Replacement Buttons come plain or custom engraved.

What warranty does it carry?

Somfy covers part 1810830 with a 5-year warranty. Adhesive button labels come in the box, so you can mark each channel with the room or shade it controls.
