Common questions

What does this DecoFlex switch control?

Part 1870908 is a battery-powered, single-channel RTS wall switch. Its three buttons send up, down and my commands to one Somfy RTS motor, or to one group of motors you program as a set, such as every shade in a room.

Does the 3-button design mean it has three channels?

Somfy lists this model as one channel with three buttons: up, my and down. To run several shades one at a time from a single wall switch, choose the DecoFlex 5 Channel RTS WireFree Wall Switch, White (1810813).

Which motors does it work with?

It works with Somfy RTS motors on 433.420 MHz, the radio used across Somfy shades, blinds, draperies, awnings, exterior screens, pergolas and rolling shutters. The Sonesse 506S2 RTS 120V Motor (1001809) is one example that pairs with it.

What battery does it use, and does it need wiring?

The switch runs on one 3 V CR2450 lithium coin cell, and the battery comes with it. It needs no wiring, so you can mount it next to an existing light switch or at any spot on the wall that suits the room.

Where can I install it?

Somfy builds this switch for indoor walls. It carries an IP 20 rating and works from 41 °F to 104 °F. The unit measures 2.75 in wide by 4.5 in tall, weighs 0.13 lb and carries a 5-year Somfy warranty.

Can I control the same shades from an app or by voice?

Yes. Add a Somfy TaHoma Switch RTS and Zigbee Smart Hub (1871037) to run your RTS motors from the TaHoma app and from voice assistants. The DecoFlex switch keeps working at the wall next to the hub.
