Part 1870197 is an assembled enclosure that feeds up to 15 Somfy 24V DC motors from a single power input. It gives a multi-shade job one central power point in place of a separate supply at each window.
Which motors can it power?
Somfy lists 24V DC motors such as the Sonesse 30 RTS 24V DC (1241142), Sonesse 30 DCT 24V DC (1241146), Sonesse 30 Zigbee 24V DC (1241970) and Sonesse ULTRA 504A8 RTS 24V DC (1134023).
What power does the enclosure need?
It takes a 120V/60Hz AC input and supplies 24V DC to each motor output. Somfy builds it around one dedicated power input, so a single feed at the enclosure serves every motor on it.
How does it protect the motors?
Each motor output has its own fuse. An LED indicator on each output shows whether that motor has power, which makes a dead circuit quick to find during service.
How does it install, and where should it go?
The kit arrives assembled in a UL listed enclosure with plug-in connectors for quick wiring. Somfy rates it IP 20 in a grey finish, so mount it in a dry, protected space such as a closet or equipment room.
Which other sizes are there?
This kit handles 15 motors and carries a 5-year Somfy warranty. For smaller or larger jobs, choose the 5 motor (1870196), 10 motor (1870192) or 20 motor (1870198) enclosure and match it to your motor count.
