How is the receiver powered?
Somfy lists a 24V DC power supply for this receiver. The unit carries overload and over current protection, and it works with motors with and without encoders.
Which sensors can I connect for automatic operation?
The receiver supports wind sensing with an adjustable 12 to 60 mph trigger, plus temperature monitoring. It accepts wired and wirefree rain sensors and wirefree sun sensors, such as the Ondeis WireFree RTS Rain and Sun Sensor (9019617) and the Sunis WireFree RTS Sun Sensor (9020412).
What protects the pergola and people below it?
Somfy builds in obstacle detection to protect the pergola and objects beneath it. Full and semi-automatic limit setting and a favorite my position round out setup.
Can it control pergola lighting?
Yes. Somfy lists support for an LED light kit, so lights and louvers run from the same RTS system on 433.420 MHz. For up to four separate dimmable lighting zones, pair it with the LED RTS 24V DC Receiver (1870872).
What if the receiver sits where radio reception is weak?
The receiver offers built-in and remote antenna options. If you need the remote antenna, the Pergola 12V/24V 2-motor RTS Receiver and Antenna Kit (1870488) packages both parts together.
