Short answer: Somfy packs a wall mount with the Situo II, the Ysia Zigbee and the Telis 16 remotes. Situo uses an adhesive holder you peel, stick and hang, Ysia fixes with screws and anchors, Telis 16 clips on, and Telis 1 and 4 hang on a Somfy mounting knob. A lost Situo holder is the Situo II RTS Mounting Bracket (9028048).

A handheld remote that lives on the wall stops going missing in the couch. Somfy plans for that. The holder for each remote family differs, though, and the fix for a lost or broken one depends on which remote sits in your hand.
Turn the remote over and read the name first. Each family mounts its own way, and Ysia speaks Zigbee while Situo and Telis speak RTS. The sections below cover each holder, the Somfy steps for fixing it to the wall, and the point where a wall switch serves the room better than a parked remote.
The wall holder that ships with each Somfy remote
Somfy lists a wall mount in the box for three of the remote families we carry. Telis 1 and Telis 4 remotes hang on a Somfy mounting knob.
| Situo 1 and Situo 5 RTS II | Wall mount in the box. Adhesive back, no screws. CR2032 3V battery. |
| Ysia 1 and Ysia 5 Zigbee | Wall mount plus 2 screws and anchors in the box. Fixes with an M3-type screw. 2x AAA batteries. |
| Telis 16 RTS | Wall mounting clip in the box. 2x AAA 1.5V alkaline batteries. |
| Telis 1 and Telis 4 RTS | Somfy sells a Telis mounting knob that lets these remotes hang on a wall. |
| Replacement Situo holder | Situo II RTS Mounting Bracket (9028048), one wall mount, 5-year Somfy warranty. |
Pick the remote with the holder style in mind. Adhesive suits tile, glass-smooth paint and rental walls where you want no holes. Screws suit textured plaster, where tape loses its grip.
Replacing a lost or broken Situo holder
The Situo holder is a small adhesive cradle, and it tends to stay behind when someone moves the remote to another room or repaints. Somfy sells it on its own as the Somfy Situo II RTS Mounting Bracket (9028048). Somfy lists it as a single wall mount, FCC and CE approved, with the same 5-year warranty Somfy puts on the remote.
The bracket fits the Situo II body. That covers the Somfy Situo 1 Channel RTS Pure Remote (1870571) and the Somfy Situo 5 Channel RTS Pure Remote (1870575). Somfy builds both remotes in one housing, 5.35 in long and 1.66 in wide, so one holder style serves both channel counts.
Order one bracket per wall location. A house with a Situo 5 in the living room and a Situo 1 in each bedroom needs one holder at each spot, and at a few dollars apiece a spare costs less than a lost remote.
Mounting a Situo remote on the wall
Somfy's Situo 1 and 5 RTS consumer instructions (C-0050, 10/2021) give a three-part method, summed up as peel, stick, hang:
- Peel the protective film from the adhesive on the back of the mounting bracket.
- Stick the bracket to a flat, clean and dry surface, and press it down hard.
- Hang the Situo 1 or Situo 5 on the mounting bracket.
Somfy rates the Situo for indoor use only and warns against heat and moisture. Keep it off a bathroom wall beside the shower and away from the stove. Wipe off dust and grease before you stick the bracket, since a dirty surface lets the adhesive peel.
The battery door sits on the back of the remote, behind a panel held with a Phillips screw. Lift the remote off the holder to change the CR2032, and the bracket stays on the wall.
Mounting a Ysia Zigbee remote

The Somfy Ysia 1 Channel Zigbee Remote (1871153) and the Somfy Ysia 5 Channel Zigbee Remote (1871154) come with a wall mount, 2 screws and 2 anchors. Somfy's Ysia Zigbee instructions (5162036C) give the fixing steps:
- Open the wall mount.
- Fix it to a flat surface with a hand screwdriver and an M3-type screw. Somfy says not to use an electric screwdriver.
Use the included anchors on drywall.
Ysia remotes control Somfy Zigbee motors only. An RTS motor will not answer one, so match the remote to the motor before you drill. The guide to choosing a Somfy remote sorts the families by radio.
Telis remotes and the mounting knob
The Somfy Telis 16 Channel RTS Pure Hand Held Remote (1811081) ships with a wall mounting clip. Somfy's Telis 16 spec sheet calls it optional, so the remote works fine in a drawer too, but the clip gives a 16-channel remote a fixed home. That matters more on a remote that runs a whole floor.
Telis 1 and Telis 4 remotes hang on a Somfy wall-mount knob. Somfy describes the knob as a way to mount a Telis 1 or 4 remote on a wall for access on the way into or out of a room. Confirm from the label that your remote is a Telis 1 or Telis 4 before you order a knob, and call us at 859-414-6872 with the part number if you are unsure which Telis you own.
Picking the spot on the wall
RTS is omni-directional. You do not aim the remote, and the radio passes through walls the way a garage door opener signal does. Somfy's Situo spec sheet rates the remote as reliable at 20 ft and up to 65 ft under optimal conditions, and the RTS pocket guide notes that range varies by job site.
Use those figures to choose the wall:
- Mount beside the door you use to enter the room, at the height of the light switch.
- Stay within 20 ft of the motor head where the layout allows. Masonry and long runs eat into the 65 ft optimum.
- Keep the remote out of a closet or cabinet. Shelving and doors between the remote and the shade cost range.
- Test from the chosen spot before you peel the adhesive or drill.
Pair the remote before you mount it. Somfy notes that a motor's radio reception drops in programming mode and advises holding the transmitter close to the motor head during that step. The RTS pairing guide covers the full sequence.
A wall switch for rooms that need a fixed control
Some rooms want a control that stays put. A remote on a holder can still walk away. An RTS wall switch cannot, and it pairs to the same motor as one more transmitter, so the handheld keeps working.
The Somfy DecoFlex 1 Channel RTS Wireless Wall Switch (1810897) is a WireFree, battery-powered switch that mounts beside a light switch with no wiring. The Somfy Smoove 1 RTS Pure II Wall Switch (1871361) surface-mounts and runs on a CR2032. Both drive one shade or one group.
Somfy's RTS pocket guide gives the steps to add a switch to a motor that already answers a remote:
- Press and hold the programming button on the remote already paired to the motor until the shade jogs.
- Tap the programming button on the new wall switch. The shade jogs again to confirm.
Steps differ on some motor families, including Maestria and Sunea CMO awning motors. Check the install guide for your motor in our Somfy spec library first. The Somfy wall controller guide compares DecoFlex and Smoove in depth, and the full lineup of handhelds sits in our Somfy RTS remotes collection.
Somfy remote wall mount FAQ
Does a Somfy Situo remote come with a wall mount?
Yes. Somfy's Situo RTS spec sheet lists a wall mount in the box, and the Situo 1 and 5 instructions describe it as an adhesive bracket you peel, stick to a clean, dry wall and hang the remote on. A replacement holder is the Somfy Situo II RTS Mounting Bracket (9028048), sold as a single wall mount.
Can I screw a Situo holder to the wall instead of using the adhesive?
Somfy designs the Situo bracket to stick on: peel the film, press it onto a clean, dry wall and hang the remote. Let fresh paint cure before you stick it. For a holder that fixes with screws, the Ysia Zigbee remote ships with a mount, 2 screws and 2 anchors, though Ysia controls Somfy Zigbee motors only.
Will mounting my remote on the wall reduce its range?
RTS radio is omni-directional and passes through walls, so a wall position works as well as a hand position at the same distance. Somfy rates the Situo as reliable at 20 ft and up to 65 ft under optimal conditions. Test from the chosen spot before you mount, and keep the remote out of closets and cabinets.
Is a wall switch better than a wall-mounted remote?
A wall switch suits a room where the control must stay in one place. The DecoFlex 1 Channel WireFree (1810897) and Smoove 1 RTS Pure II (1871361) both run on batteries, mount with no wiring, and pair to the motor as an extra transmitter, so your handheld remote keeps working alongside the switch.
