What does the RTS 12V Dimming LED Control do?
Part 1870607 is a Somfy RTS receiver that powers and dims 12V DC LED lighting. The same RTS remote that runs an awning or pergola can switch the lights and set them to one of 12 brightness levels.
What power does it need?
It connects to line voltage. Somfy lists an input of 120-230VAC at 50-60Hz and a 12V DC output to the lights, with a UL class 2 power supply.
How much lighting can it drive?
Somfy rates the output at 60W max, which covers up to 6 Somfy LED bars. Add up the wattage of every strip on the circuit and keep the total under that limit.
Can it mount outdoors?
Yes. Somfy rates the receiver IP 67 and outdoor rated, which suits awnings, pergolas and patio covers. The housing measures 12.39 in by 2.30 in by 1.63 in, so plan space for it in the frame or soffit.
Which remotes work with it?
Somfy RTS transmitters control it, including the Telis 1 Channel RTS Patio Remote (1810643) and the Telis 4 RTS Multi-Channel Patio Remote (1810645). A multi-channel remote can put the lights and the awning on separate channels. Somfy lists a 65 ft range under optimal conditions.
Does it have a favorite setting?
Yes. Somfy lists a My position alongside the 12 brightness levels. As with the My button on an RTS shade, one press recalls a saved favorite setting.
