Common questions

What is the DecoFlex WireFree Zigbee 4-Channel In-Wall keypad?

It is a battery-powered in-wall keypad with four channels for Somfy Zigbee products. Each channel runs one product or one group, so a single keypad can handle four rooms or zones. The my button recalls a saved favorite position.

Which products can it control?

It operates Somfy Zigbee window coverings and Smart Plugs, one product or one group per channel. Examples include the Sonesse 40 409R2 Zigbee 3.0 Motor (1245922), the Glydea Ultra 60 Zigbee Drapery Motor (1241841) and the Zigbee Smart Plug Adaptor (1871217).

Does it need a TaHoma hub?

Somfy lists it as compatible with the TaHoma switch. Pair it with the TaHoma Switch RTS and Zigbee Smart Hub (1871037) or the TaHoma Switch with Ethernet Adaptor (1871038) to add app control, scenes and voice assistants.

What powers it?

Two LR3 (AAA) batteries power the keypad, so there is no line-voltage wiring to run to it. It communicates with your Zigbee devices on 2.450 GHz and carries an IP 20 rating for indoor use.

Is there a surface-mount version?

Yes. The DecoFlex WireFree Zigbee 4-Channel Surface Mount (1871576) offers the same four channels on the wall surface. Both white keypads carry Somfy's 5-year warranty.

What if I need fewer channels?

Choose the DecoFlex WireFree Zigbee 2 Channel In-wall keypad (1871573) or its Surface Mount version (1871577). For a handheld option, the Ysia 1 Channel Zigbee Remote (1871153) and Ysia 5 Channel Zigbee Remote (1871154) work on the same Zigbee network.

Can I get engraved or replacement buttons?

Yes. Somfy sells replacement top, center and bottom buttons for DecoFlex Zigbee keypads and runs an engraving program for custom button labels. Contact us with your part number and the labels you want, and we will quote it.
