Common questions

What does the DecoFlex WireFree RTS 1 Channel Ivory switch control?

It controls one Somfy RTS motor or one group of RTS motors from the wall, with Up, Down, Stop and the Somfy my favorite position. Somfy lists it for shades, blinds, draperies, rolling shutters, awnings and other window coverings.

Does it need wiring or an electrician?

No. The switch runs on battery power and sends RTS radio commands, so there are no wires to run. A replaceable lithium coin cell comes in the box, and the included bracket lets you mount it beside a light switch or anywhere on the wall.

What comes in the box?

Part 1810898 ships with a mounting bracket, a Decora-style trim plate and adhesive button labels. The Decora format matches standard rocker light switches, so the switch sits in line with the plates already on your wall.

Which other colors and channel counts are there?

This part is ivory. The same 1 channel switch comes in white (1810897) and black (1810899). To run more shades from one plate, choose the DecoFlex RTS 2 Channel (1811068) or the DecoFlex 5 Channel Ivory (1810814).

Can it share a shade with my remote or hub?

Yes. An RTS motor stores more than one transmitter, so this switch can run the same shade as a Situo RTS remote such as the 1 channel (1870571) or a TaHoma switch (1871037). It transmits on 433.42 MHz.

Can I use it as a tabletop control?

Yes. The DecoFlex RTS Table Top Accessory holds the switch on a desk or nightstand. It comes in white (1811185) and black (1811051), and Somfy pairs this ivory 1 channel switch with a white table top frame in its own kit.
