What is the Altus RTS 660R2 built for?
The Altus RTS 660R2 (1162271) is a 120V tubular motor for retractable awnings, rolling shutters and exterior screens. A Somfy RTS radio receiver is built in, so it runs from RTS remotes and wall switches with no separate receiver to install.
What torque and speed does it deliver?
Somfy rates the 660R2 at 60 Nm of torque and 14 rpm. It has a star head, an electronic limit switch with a 200 turn capacity and thermal protection that trips at 266 °F.
What power and wiring does the motor need?
It runs on 120V/60Hz, draws 2.5 A and consumes 285 W during operation. It comes with a 9.84 ft white 3-conductor SJTW cable. The radio replaces control wiring, so you run power to the motor and nothing else.
Which remotes and switches work with it?
Any Somfy RTS transmitter pairs with it, including the Telis 1 Channel RTS Patio Remote (1810643), the Telis 4 RTS Patio Remote (1810645) and DecoFlex RTS wall switches. The motor stores up to 12 channels, and Somfy rates range at 164.05 ft in open field.
Can I control it from my phone or a voice assistant?
Yes. Add a Somfy TaHoma switch (1871037) to run the motor from the TaHoma app and by voice. RTS is one-way radio, so the app sends commands but does not report position. The Somfy my button saves a favorite stop point.
Which crown and drive does the 660R2 need?
The 660R2 is an LT60 motor, so it takes LT60 crown and drive adaptors sized to your tube. For 70mm octagonal tube, the Octagonal LT60 70mm Crown and Drive Set (9012247) fits. Confirm your tube size and profile before you order.
