Somfy lists part 9020635 for the T3.5 ESP Hz 12V DC motors 2009596, 2009597, and 2009598 and for the matching AutoSun kits 2009606, 2009607, and 2009608. It covers the 3 Nm, 6 Nm, and 10 Nm versions, so one spare fits the whole AutoSun 2 line.
What are the battery specs?
Somfy lists the 9020635 as a 12V DC, 2.2 Ah NiMH battery in an aluminum case with a 0.6 m cable and a 5-year warranty. Simu's AutoSun 2 datasheet gives the cells an operating range of -4°F to 158°F and an expected life of about 8 years.
Can I charge it from an outlet?
Simu's FAQ says to unplug the battery from the motor, connect it to the charger (9020638), and charge for at least 3 hours. A charged battery should read about 13 volts. Somfy also lists the Battery Charger V2 US kit (9029465) for AutoSun motors.
How do I tell an AutoSun 1 battery from AutoSun 2?
Simu says an AutoSun 1 battery has a small circuit board with a reset button, while an AutoSun 2 battery has no circuit board. The 9020635 belongs to the AutoSun 2 range that Somfy lists for the current T3.5 ESP Hz motors.
