The Roll Up 28 (R28) WireFree RTS V2 is a battery-powered tubular motor for roller shades, Roman shades, woven woods, and zebra/layered shades. The redesigned V2 motorhead adds a recessed programming button, quick-lock drive, and an LED low-battery indicator, and it runs on Somfy's external battery options including the rechargeable Li-ion pack and solar charging.

What torque, speed and tube size does it take?
Somfy rates the 1241162 at 1.1 Nm of torque and 20 rpm, with a noise level of 54 dB. It has a 1.1 in round head, fits tubes with an inside diameter of 1.05 in or larger, and its limits cover up to 200 turns.
How is it powered?
The motor accepts 9.5 V to 16.5 V DC from an external source. Options include the Somfy Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery Pack (9021217) and the Reloadable 12V DC Battery Wand (9018685). Somfy also lists it as compatible with USB-C Li-ion solar charging.
How do I recharge the Li-ion battery pack?
Connect the Somfy Li-ion plug-in charger (9025166) to the pack and plug it into a standard outlet. The pack recharges in place, so the shade stays on the window. The LED on the V2 head tells you when the battery runs low.
Which remotes and switches work with it?
Any Somfy RTS transmitter, including the Situo 1 and Situo 5 Channel RTS Pure remotes (1870571, 1870575) and DecoFlex RTS wall switches (1810813, 1810897). The motor stores up to 12 transmitters, and Somfy rates RTS range at 656.2 ft in open field.
Can I control it from an app or a voice assistant?
Yes. Somfy lists the Roll Up 28 WireFree RTS V2 as TaHoma compatible, and a TaHoma Switch hub (1871037) adds app scheduling and voice control. RTS is one-way radio, so the app sends commands but cannot report the shade's position.
