Common questions

What is the Irismo 35 Mini DC RTS built for?

Part 1003004 is a plug-and-play Somfy drapery motor for pinch pleat and RippleFold drapes. It moves drapes up to 77 lbs on straight, bent or curved tracks up to 32 ft, and a built-in RTS receiver handles wireless control.

How is it powered?

The motor comes with a 24V DC power supply that plugs into a standard outlet, so no hardwiring is needed. Somfy lists a rated current of 2 A, 30 W in operation and a cable length of 13.12 ft.

How fast and quiet is it?

Somfy rates the Irismo 35 at 0.6 Nm of torque and 87.5 rpm, with a noise level of 39 dB. It carries an IP 24 rating, operates from 32 °F to 140 °F and has a 5-year warranty.

Can I still open the drapes by hand?

Yes. Touch Motion starts the motor when you give the drapery a gentle pull. During a power outage, the manual override lets you draw the drapes by hand, so the window stays usable.

Which controls work with it?

Any Somfy RTS transmitter, including the Situo 5 RTS Pure remote (1870575), the Telis 16 RTS Pure (1811081) and DecoFlex RTS wall switches (1810813, 1810897). It stores 12 channels with 656.2 ft of open-field range. A TaHoma Switch (1871037) adds app and voice control.

Which track parts fit?

Somfy drapery hardware pairs with it, including the One Touch Ceiling Bracket (1780907), the Straight Arm Kit for center opening tracks (1782321), RippleFold 80% and 120% carriers (1780903, 1780901) and the Heavy Duty Master Carrier (1781344).
