How is this motor controlled?
It talks over RS485, the wired two-way protocol of the Somfy Digital Network. That link lets SDN keypads, interfaces and animeo IP building systems send commands and read the motor's position.

The motor runs on 120V AC at 60Hz, with a range of 108 to 132V, and draws 0.95 A. Somfy ships it with a 9.84 ft white SJTW 3-wire power cable.
How are the limits set?
Somfy fits this motor with electronic limits and a 250-turn capacity. You set the upper and lower stops through the SDN setup tools, such as the RS485 Setting Tool (9017142).
Which hardware fits it?

Take the shade down
Cut power and lift the roller out of its brackets.

Slide it out of the tube. The fabric stays wrapped on the tube.

Fit the crown and drive wheel for your tube, then slide the new motor in.

Plug in the RS485 data cable and address the motor on your Somfy Digital Network.
