Common questions
What is the Situo 5 Variation RTS Pure II remote?
Part 1811612 is a five-channel Somfy RTS handheld remote with a scroll wheel. Each channel controls one window covering or one group. The wheel gives fine control over tilt and lighting. It includes a wall holder and carries a 5-year Somfy warranty.
What does the scroll wheel do?
The scroll wheel tilts blind slats and sheer vanes in small steps, and it adjusts compatible RTS LED lights. Use it when up, down and stop are not precise enough, such as setting slats at a half-open angle.
What is the range?
Somfy rates the range at 492.15 ft in open field on 433.420 MHz. RTS is omni-directional, so you do not need to aim the remote at the shade. Walls shorten the range indoors.
What battery does it use?
It takes 1 CR2430 battery. Somfy rates battery life at 5 years. The remote measures 5.51 in by 1.77 in by 0.79 in and is rated IP 20 for indoor use.
Which products does it work with?
It controls Somfy RTS motors on awnings, exterior solar screens, interior blinds, draperies, shades, pergolas and rolling shutters. For tilt control, pair it with an RTS tilt motor such as the Tilt 50 WireFree Through-Shaft RTS (1240276).
How does it differ from the standard Situo 5 remote?
The Situo 5 RTS Pure II (1870575) has five channels with up, down, stop and my buttons. The Variation model adds the scroll wheel for tilt and light adjustment. Both include the my button, which saves a favorite position.
