Common questions
What torque and speed does the Simu 2000652 deliver?
The Simu T5 40Nm 12rpm 120V (2000652) delivers 40 Nm of torque at 12 rpm on 120V/60Hz AC power. Somfy rates it at 1.8 A and 210 W running. Size the motor to the weight of the shutter curtain or awning fabric, and step up in torque for large or heavy shutters.
Does the Simu 2000652 have a radio receiver?
No. Somfy lists the T5 2000652 as a wired motor with an 8.2 ft cable, so it has no built-in Hz or RTS receiver. You run it from a wired up/down switch. Choose a Simu T5 Hz model when you want handheld radio control.
How do I set the limits on the 2000652?
The T5 2000652 uses mechanical limit switches with a 30-turn capacity. Simu builds the T5 range around a progressive end-limit system for wired motors. Set both the up and down stops before the shutter or awning goes into regular service, then run a full cycle to confirm them.
Which brackets and drives fit the Simu T5 2000652?
The 2000652 has a round head with pins. Somfy lists the T5 Operator Bracket 80mm x 80mm square (9520049) and T5/T6 aluminum drives such as 9012950 (60mm round) and 9011878 (70mm octagonal) among its accessories. Match the crown and drive to your roller tube profile.
Is the 2000652 rated for outdoor shutter boxes?
Somfy rates the Simu T5 2000652 at IP 44 with Class I insulation and an operating range of -4°F to 140°F. Mount it inside the shutter or awning tube where the head stays protected from direct water. Somfy backs the motor with a 5-year warranty.
