What is the DecoFlex SDN Keypad V2, 6-Button, Group Control?
It is a hard-wired, in-wall keypad for Somfy Digital Network shading systems. It talks to intelligent SDN motors with no central controller, and its LEDs show which group of shades you have selected.
How does group control work?
Group control lets the six buttons run more than one group of shades. Multiple LEDs show which group is selected, so a user can pick a zone and then send commands to it from the same keypad.
How is each button programmed?
Each button can hold different commands for Press, Release and Hold. You set them with Set pro by Somfy configuration software, and you can export and back up keypad configurations for later use.
What are the dry contact inputs for?
The keypad has eight dry contact inputs on the back, whatever its button count. You can program them to send SDN commands, which lets other switches or systems trigger shade moves.
What power does it need, and where can it go?
Somfy rates the keypad at 24V and IP 20, with an operating range of 41°F to 140°F. That suits indoor wall locations on a Somfy Digital Network.
Which motors does it work with?
It works with Somfy Digital Network RS485 motors, such as the Sonesse 30 RS485 24V DC (1241144) and the Sonesse 40 406A2 RS485 SDN (1240563). The standard 6-button version comes in white (1871479).
