Common questions
What is the Glydea swivel ceiling bracket?
It mounts a Somfy Glydea drapery track to the ceiling. Somfy recommends this swivel bracket for curved and bent tracks, and it works on straight runs too. Mounting to the ceiling leaves a smaller light gap above the drapery.
When should I choose it over the One Touch ceiling bracket?
Choose the swivel bracket for any curved or bent Glydea track. Somfy recommends it for those tracks, and the One Touch ceiling bracket (1780907) is not recommended on curves. On straight ceiling runs, the One Touch bracket gives you a snap-in option.
Which Somfy motors does it work with?
Somfy lists it for Glydea ULTRA 35 and 60 motors in RTS, DCT and wired versions, the Glydea ULTRA 50 WireFree Zigbee, the Irismo 35 Mini DC and the Irismo 45 WireFree RTS.
How many brackets does a track need?
Place one bracket by each pulley and space the rest along the track as the Somfy Glydea guide directs. Our Glydea track listings show the count for each length, such as 6 brackets for a 10 ft track.
Can I mount the track to the wall instead?
Yes. Somfy offers the 4.50"-6.25" adjustable wall mount bracket (1780909) and the 8.75"-10.25" double adjustable wall mount bracket (9025622). Both hold the track out from the wall to clear trim or a second window treatment.
What warranty applies to this bracket?
Somfy backs the swivel ceiling bracket with its 5-year warranty. It is a genuine Somfy part built for interior draperies, so replacements match the hardware the Glydea system was designed around.
