Common questions

What is the Glydea ULTRA 35 Wired Motor?

Part 1003153 is a Somfy drapery track motor sold without a plug, for direct wiring into the building. The 35 model moves up to 77 lb (35 kg) of fabric, and Somfy rates it at 38 dB.

How is it powered?

It accepts 90-240V AC at 50-60 Hz and draws 30 W in operation and 0.5 W on standby. With no plug on the cable, an electrician connects it to the building supply.

Which track parts work with it?

How do I set the end limits?

Somfy makes a Limit Setting Tool (9014599) for use with Glydea ULTRA motors, and this store lists it as a match. The tool lets the installer set limits during commissioning.

Is there a plug-in version?

Yes. The Glydea ULTRA 35 DCT (1246115) ships on a 10 ft cable with a plug and accepts Somfy Zigbee and RS485 modules. For heavier draperies, the Glydea ULTRA 60 Wired Motor, No Plug (1003160) handles larger loads.

Can I automate it with TaHoma?

Somfy lists the Glydea ULTRA 35 Wired Motor as compatible with the TaHoma automation system for scheduling. Somfy builds the motor to its Designed for Silence standard and backs it with a 5-year warranty.
