Common questions
What is this drive for?
Part 9420304 is Somfy's 4.0 in round LT50 drive. It fits on the output end of a Somfy 50 mm tubular motor inside a 4 in round tube and carries the motor's turning force to the tube. Somfy lists awning systems as its application.
What tube size does it fit?
Somfy's reference lists a 102x2 round tube, which matches the 4.0 in size in the part name. Measure your tube before you order, because each Somfy drive matches one tube size and wall.
Which motors does it work with?
Somfy lists 70 compatible motors. Examples include the Sonesse Ultra 506A2 RTS 120V Motor (1002562), the Altus RTS 550R2 (1038170) and the Sonesse 50 515S2 RS485 SDN 120V Motor (15Nm) (1002427).
What else does the tube need?
A full install pairs this drive with a crown sized for the same 4.0 in tube, a motor bracket that fits the motor head and an idler end for the far side of the tube. Somfy sells each of these as a separate part.
What warranty does it carry?
Somfy backs this drive with a 5-year warranty. As a genuine Somfy part, it matches the output of the LT50 motor platform, so a replacement drive fits the motor the same way the original did.
