Module 1 of 5
The figures every wired Sonesse 30 has in common. After this module you know when a Sonesse 30 fits the shade at all.
2 lessons, then a scenario check.
What the versions share
Somfy lists the RTS, Zigbee, DCT and RS485 versions at 2 Nm and 25 rpm, 24V DC, with a 1.13 in minimum tube inside diameter, a round head and 47 dB.
On the jobSize the shade on 2 Nm first. The control version does not add lift.
What the versions share
The Sonesse 30 RTS 24V DC (1241142) has a built-in RTS receiver with 12 channels and 656.2 ft open-field range.
ExampleA small kitchen shade that needs a remote and nothing more takes the RTS version.

Check yourself
Hint: Check the torque.
No. Somfy lists every wired Sonesse 30 at 2 Nm.
Module 2 of 5
How the four wired versions differ. After this module you can match the version to the control system on site.
3 lessons, then a scenario check.
Pick by control
RTS takes radio remotes. Zigbee joins TaHoma and acts as a mesh router. DCT takes dry contacts. RS485 runs on SDN and is set up with RS485 tools.
Watch forOrder the version that matches the control system, not the cheapest one.
Pick by control
Somfy says the Sonesse 30 Zigbee 24V DC (1241970) acts as a Zigbee mesh router to extend radio range. It lists 492.15 ft open field.
ExampleA powered Zigbee shade can carry the signal to battery shades further away.

Pick by control
The DCT version (1241146) sets limits through its dry contact connections, and Somfy lists the 9014599 tool for it. The RS485 version (1241144) is set up with RS485 software tools.
On the jobBring the right setting tool. DCT and RS485 do not program from an RTS remote.

Check yourself
Hint: SDN is RS485.
The RS485 version 1241144, which runs on SDN.
Module 3 of 5
The supplies Somfy lists for 24V DC motors. After this module you can power one motor or a whole room.
3 lessons, then a scenario check.
Power the wired versions
Somfy lists the 24V DC 1.67A wall-mount power supply (1822209) as compatible with the Sonesse 30 RTS, Zigbee, DCT and RS485 24V DC motors.
ExampleA single shade by an outlet runs from one plug-in supply.

Power the wired versions
Power Distribution Enclosure Kits feed up to 5, 10, 15 or 20 24V DC motors from a 120V AC input, with a fused output and LED for each motor.
On the jobPick the next kit size up so a room can grow.

Power the wired versions
Somfy lists the kits as 1870196 for 5 motors, 1870192 for 10, 1870197 for 15 and 1870198 for 20.
Watch forThe enclosure takes a 120V AC input. A licensed electrician makes that connection.

Hint: Next size up from eight.

Module 4 of 5
The battery Sonesse in the same size. After this module you can offer a no-wire Sonesse 30.
3 lessons, then a scenario check.
The WireFree option
Somfy lists the Sonesse ULTRA 30 WireFree RTS (1003310) at 2 Nm and 20 rpm, with a built-in 12V Li-ion battery, 42 dB and a 4 min thermal time.
ExampleA bedroom with no outlet near the window takes the WireFree version.

The WireFree option
Somfy marks the earlier Sonesse 30 WireFree RTS (1003128) as replaced by the ULTRA 30 WireFree RTS (1003310).
On the jobQuote 1003310 on new work.
The WireFree option
Somfy lists the Lithium-ion Charger (V2 Head) 9025166 and the solar kit 9027294 for the ULTRA 30 WireFree RTS. It is rated at one cycle a day.
Watch forA shade run many times a day suits a wired version better.

Hint: Somfy names the current part.

Module 5 of 5
The crowns, drives and plates Somfy lists for the Sonesse 30 by tube and bracket system. After this module you can complete the parts list so the motor drops into the tube on install day.
2 lessons, then a scenario check.
Tube parts that fit
Somfy lists crown and drive sets for the Sonesse 30 by tube system, such as the RollEase 1.5 in set 9020674.
ExampleA RollEase 1.5 in tube takes the 9020674 set.

Tube parts that fit
Somfy lists motor plates and adaptors for other bracket systems, such as the RollEase SkyLine and ZMC XL adaptor plate 9016378.
On the jobConfirm the bracket system on site, then pick the plate that matches.
