Common questions

What is the LS40 Crown and Drive Set?

It is the matched pair of parts that joins a Somfy LS40 motor to the roller tube. The crown centers and supports the motor, and the drive wheel locks into the tube profile to transfer torque without slipping.

What comes in the set?

You get one crown and one drive wheel. Together they complete the motor-to-tube connection for a single 40mm-class tube, so one set covers one motor.

Which motors does this set fit?

It fits Somfy 400 Series motors, including the LS40 and Sonesse 40 wired ranges. Examples on this store include the LS40 404S2 Sonesse RTS (1001636) and the LS40 409R2 Sonesse RTS (1240382).

Which tube does it suit?

The set suits 40mm-class tube. For a 2 in tube, Somfy offers the LS40 2 in Crown and Drive Set (9016352). Match the set to your tube profile before you order.

Is there a rubberized version?

Yes. Somfy makes the LS40 Rubberized Crown and Drive Set (9016654) and the LS40 Octagonal Rubberized Crown and Drive Set (9016655) for installers who want a rubberized fit in the tube.

Can I pair a 400 Series motor with 500 Series hardware?

Somfy offers the 400 Series to 500 Series Crown and Drive Adaptor Kit (9012226) for mixing those two hardware families. Check that kit's specs against your motor and tube before you order.
