What does the SDN RS485 Module (1871412) do?
It adds Somfy Digital Network control to a Glydea ULTRA drapery motor. The module plugs into the motor and turns two-way RS485 SDN commands into open, close, stop and intermediate position moves.
Which Glydea motors does it fit?
Somfy lists the Glydea ULTRA 35 and Glydea ULTRA 60 DCT motors with 10' plug. Both are in the store as the Glydea Ultra 35 DCT Drapery Motor (1246115) and the Glydea Ultra 60 DCT Drapery Motor (1246117).
Does the module need its own power supply?
No. The module draws its power from the Glydea ULTRA motor and connects through a custom connector Somfy designed for that motor. You run no extra power wiring to the module itself.
How many group addresses can it hold?
You can program up to 16 SDN group addresses into the module. One drapery can then answer its own commands as well as room, floor or zone groups on the same network.
Which control systems does it work with?
It works in stand-alone SDN systems and in Somfy Connect UAI Plus SDN systems. The Somfy Connect Universal Automation Interface (UAI) Plus (1870272) is available in the store for the second setup.
How do I configure it?
Set up the module with Set pro by Somfy configuration software, where you assign its addresses and positions. Somfy covers the module with a 5-year limited warranty.
