What does the Soliris Sensor 9101475 do?

It is a combined sun and wind sensor from Somfy's legacy Soliris range. It protects an awning or exterior screen, responding when it detects wind or when the sun's intensity increases. Somfy backs it with a 5-year warranty.

Is this sensor wired or wireless?

Wired. Somfy lists it with a 5 m (16.4 ft) white 3-wire cable attached, so plan a cable route from the mounting spot to the control the sensor will connect to.

Can it be mounted outdoors?

Yes. Somfy rates the grey housing IP 44, which guards against splashing water from any direction. Mount it where it sees the same sun and wind as the awning or screen it protects.

Which controls does it connect to?

It wires into Soliris-compatible controls for exterior awnings and screens. Because this is a legacy part, Somfy advises confirming the match with a Somfy professional, so have the model of your existing control on hand when you ask.

Is there a wireless option for RTS motors?

Yes. The Soliris RTS Sun and Wind Sensor 24V DC Kit (9012500) sends sun and wind commands to RTS motors by radio and includes its transformer. For wind alone, the Eolis 3D WireFree RTS Wind Sensor White (1816081) needs no wiring.
